Season 54 was arguably the least successful season in World Communism Team’s young history. With the shortcomings of the team being very clearly the result of management errors and poor planning by the team’s chairman.
The team had planned the entire season around two races, first the Cesko-Slovensky Pohar early in the season, and then much later on, Fast on Wheels.
But having miscalculated the number of points scored during the previous season, the early objective was missed as the team did not drop to Division 6 in time for sign up for the Cesko-Slovensky Pohar.
The team had to shift all plans to the next objective at the end of the season. And nearly had the full duration of the season to score the points required to be at the right division at the right time. This seemed to be going well as the team at one point even promoted to Division 4 for the first time, and even managed to score points and be competitive in Division 4 races, but yet again, chairman umaliyasi had forgotten the points scored in Rundt om Vejle in the previous season, and so the whole calculation to be in Division 5 at the right time was off.
And so in a matter of a few days World Communism Team dropped from division 4, all the way to Division 6, with hardly any stop in Division 5, causing the team to also miss the sign up for Fast on Wheels, the final objective of the season.
Besides this, the team also struggled to achieve regular official results, and came dangerously close to experiencing its first ever winless season.
In this last portion of the season, Michel Ngabo came very close but was a near miss at Faaborg - Svanninge with a 4th place. The same rider later had some more luck and got himself on the official result board, still in Denmark at Amager Gadeløb with a 2nd place.
Following this, Addis Gebreselassie also had yet another near miss this season, with a 4th place of his own at Newquay - Newquay.
Fortunately, in his second next race after this, the Ethiopian managed to salvage a win at Il Giro di San Marino. Having waited all the way until day 87, to finally register a win for World Communism Team in season 54. Coming ahead of fellow African Clément Bigaruka of Team Arctic.
To close down on the season, on day 88, the team was entered into Wangdu GrandPrix for the second time in history.
Michel Ngabo had a good race, but only came second as he could not beat fellow African Omonigho Blessing of Maramoy, helping the team contribute to a second "African double” in just two days.
And bringing the total tally of the team to 5 results including just 1 win in season 54.

But late into season 54 I dropped the TS aspect a bit as I was getting too desperate to make it back to Div 5 in time.
Best of luck to all of you in S55.
Thanks for the encouragements.
@Broken, I also rotate Gebreselassie, and Rusesabagina as captains together with Ngabo and Dingi. To try keep the TS healthy. And I will probably start giving Tie Bi a shot in some all-rounder races. And I do the occasional breakaway for TS purpose as well.
Oh forgot to add you didn't miss much in Cesko-Slovensky Pohar as CyclingClubChoMutov was way too strong for everyone else and the same for squadra sora in FoW I think. Try to aim at least for the YC in that last one next season.
Focus on the hill sprints with Ngabo and FR sprints with Dingi ( if you can support him enough in the other stats with the team ) and you should be easily getting results to be where you want to around division 5/6.
use the rest of the team how you want when they aren't in use of those two.
Also focus a bit on your TS, it determines how much team mates transfer to their captain and from what
Tough season and patches happen to the best of us so keep your head up as your team is starting to really shape up. Good luck in Season 55 as everyone now is starting to get better riders it is also getting harder to claim results.
